Hip, hip huray, February in offically 40 minutes away and im so excited i cant even talk about it.
My run consisted of work run so thats run to work, run threw work and run home from work. Run work run work run work. OCD is still there but gone is January 2011 and never will it return. Never seen a January like it before and have to say been the best ever. No regrets. I can safely say i could not have ran any more than i did ( maybe ). And thats all i could ask for really, would have been disapointed with myself if i came home every day and thought oooowww i wish id just ran a little more today. But that didnt happen so im good with that.
Running home tonight i thought why did i just do that. Im still not sure maybe just because is as good as any answer. When i first seen the janathon logo on Facebook from Garys profile it was all just a thought for about 3 days. A thought that haunted me for 3 days, a thought that just would not just go away. I went for a shower the day before to get rid of the thought but it was still there so thats why i had to do it.
Even before christmas my news years reso was to run more outside to work on something i havent done much of so this was the perfect solution really taking into consideration my nearest and dearest would not come out with me running cause they are under the illusion i am really fit. I have no idea what it is that put that into there heads but there you go.
Probably could not have done it with out the support of people putting positive notes on my states so thanks everyone and hope you all keep positivly motivated. Its great to think after a running day and your so tired that someone actually cared about how much and where you ran to, Strange but true.
Big well done to all and how you all give yourselves a massive pat on the back.

Day 30
Yeah, i managed a picture. If you can see far way over yonder in the far distance in a land of far, far away. Thats where i live kinda. About 4 milesish from my houseish. So this is where i ended up and turned 180 opp and carried on a fair few more miles.
Im feeling abit ill i have to say. Its not for me to ever get sick but after yesterdays longish run feeling my lymphatic system kick in and today my nose was really bothering me. Im gona say im slightly run down which will probably just be fix by a good nights sleeps tonight.

Day 29
As of doing my Crammon run quite a few times this month it resembles a circle from my home, would show a map but cant figure out how to map it yet so cant. So getting towards the end of the month decided i wanted to challenge myself a bit more. Noted was the sign 4 miles to Queensferry. Today took me further than ever before to a little village out side Edinburgh "Queensferry". Never had a reason to there before now if only to put miles on my chart, but was actually pleasantly surprised at such a pretty little place.
The road i took let me to right underneath the the forth rail bridge that ive been over numerous times but never under, completly different experience altogether.
After a lot of contemplation of doing a further 6 miles to see what it would feel like to do a marathon i decided to just go home. After a good distance i thought i get the idea of what a marathon feels like. Never ran one, thought about it loads, todays the closes i got to one so im happy with that.

Day 28
Just a wee recovery run today, just up the road a bit and back again.
Been a challenging week with work. Not too hard but getting up at 5am and commuting to Glasgow most days
just to talk for an hour or so about shoes. Glad its over so i can get back to a bit of normality ( as normal as i can be that is)
I learned a bit, Puma have new shoes out that compare with the likes of MBTs, Schu Shape Ups and Rebok easy tones. They are Puma Body Train. Nice neat trainers benifits - reduces pronation - help to tone all muscle legs when worn - very light weight and sleek looking compaired to the rest that are out.
Interestingly i did an Addidas campaign a few years ago so have seen both brothers side of the shoe story.
For people who are reading this and dont know about addidas and Puma.
In 1924 i believe some time during the war there were 2 brother names Aldolf and Rudolf Dazler set up a shoe factory in their very own garage which also contained their bikes and washing machines in a city/town some where in Germany. One day there was an air raid and one of the brothers had a drama whilst the other brother just got anoyed with the other brother for having a drama so they had a massive big fall out and never again did they speak to one another. Because there shoe factory was so famous they devided the company in half with half their fan base halving as well. So that even meant each fan base shopping in different shopping markets and everything.
tis was then 2 new companys formed. 1 called Addi daz after Aldolf Dazler and the other Puma as Ruldolfs nick name in the office was Puma cause he used to prowel around like a cat.
And so the story lives on threw shoes, lifestyle clothes, fashion wear and other stuff.
You may have heard of 1 day of Peace. 21st September is a day invented by Puma to promote one day world wide of peace as of what happened in their past.
Hope the story makes up for me unmotived run tonight

Day 27
Its been a long day. 4am wake up, million hours of travelling.
Bit of running in there towards Trapeze and silks practise.
Shorter run today but felt i was pick up speed a bit so was satisfied.
Heard on the radio this morning one of the presenters went to a gym class last night, hes not very flexable so the instructor told him a trick. If you cant touch your toes or ever if you want to be a few more
icnes flexible what you have to do is bit you index and middle finger together, not too hard, for 20-25 seconds and stretch then.
Apparently it opens up path ways in the centre nutral system to make it relax more.
Try it, it works

Day 26
26 is one of my favourite numbers, kinda proved it today with my happy mileage boost today
Well my 5am rise this morning was very rudely interrupted by my eyes opening with a sign of 7 am on my alarm clock.
This only meant i had 0 minutes to leave the house although luckly still my 1 hour of commuting running which was satisfactory done even if i do say so myself. My commuting back from my short shift of doing nothing really between 8 and 11am was very laboured.
Got home, felt tired, havent slept much the past week so tried to sleep for 14 hours before my 4 am rise for Glasgow in the morning. Tried to sleep but only lasted 1 hour.
So ate too much chocolate ( and im really not a fan of chocolate) remember Eastenders wasnt on tonight so Urban Class it was again not because i had to just for all the right reasons as mentioned above.
Got a few extra miles out of it

Day 24
Currently 00:03 so technically its day 25 but never mind.
Im happy cause for years ive always had one, say person, in my life that was a keen runner ie. get up before 6am and run nearly every morning and always admired that person. Unfortunatly for me that person was not me but i always wanted that "yes 6am lets totally get up and run this morning" until today.....
I managed to set a bit of time in my busy day in Manchester, only time was any time before human traffic and day light start thats 6am. I didnt run very far at all but the key principle for this day was i got to be that person i always wanted to be. Really i did it cause of Janathon, i would do it if i had to or say had to train someone but now i know in the future i can do it for me. 6am.
There must be so many reasons why people get up at 6 am and go running

So always sumit different, now going to Manchester and hope that Janathon spirit will be with me at 6am tomorrow morning as it maybe the only time for a run.

day 22
good running today, feel my out door running is getting alot better every day. normally dont run out side much but it was im news years to get running outside more so good with that.
Also dance class today, tried brake dancing for the first time in 7ish years, same teacher by chance so was funny to see him again not that we recognised each other in any way. Also was in the class with just 7 boys. Reminded me of being back in school cause when i was in school for the last 3 years i was the only girl in my class and in the hood in which i grew up (not that im grown up now), but was great for training and sports and stuff. Probs why im naturally ok with this kind of stuff now.
Gona get a run in tomorrow morning but as of monday im not sure, going to Manchester tomorrow for all of 26 hours, wont be home til late and i just dont know what im going to do. I just dont know

Day 20 i think
so today my motivation was going to the police station to report my missing drivers licence only to be told when they say report it missing is to report it to dvla. Bit silly but really not in a habit of loosing such things so happy to say im inexperienced in that way.
Nice run alot the water again although we have gone back to the ice age here again. Frost all over got the better of me.
Ended up being the tiredest person in the whole entire world, and thought it must be Feburary now.
tomorrows gona be a good day

Day 19
Perfection exists.
Some people say nothings ever perfect. This is Lazy to say this for perfection does actually exist so there for all things can be perfect.
I proved this to myself today, i was going to go for a run today but decided not to as my blisters on my feet really need some healing time.
So instead i caught up on some things ive been meaning to do for like months. This was perfect.
although whilst doing so i drop my beloved phone in the sink full of water and thought to myself " o dear ive broken my beloved phone and now no one can call me"
putting some more thought into it i believe maybe i wanted a day where no one would call me. So today i got my wish of having a decent excuse for not communicating efficiently through phone calls. This was perfect for my running thoughts in my head made my inner self react in an outer way that was perfect for my inner self.
So it came to work time so i ran to work, during work and also home from work. Which was perfect as we are still enjoyably in January.
So now i have a thing about perfection in which i shall express in which i found threw my continuous running thoughts and my continuous running every day

Well i was just thinking of so many things to say here this evening after my great trapeze/silks practise and my nice wee run round the block but every time i log on here goosevallances blogg seems to always catch my eye and he has so soo much to say which now makes me feel like i have nothing to say. But one day im going right a massive story about my wee run around the block and it may be better than my febal attempt at this now.
Heres in hope

Well my feet have blisters again. I thinks i need more decent running shoes. Not to moan though.
Nice little run around a block today and the sun came out and joined me.
Urban Gym Street Circuits took me and a few others up our School Daze route, its my favourite cause theres loads to do so hopefully i gave a few people a good workout as well as keep my running up as well.
pretty tired

Day 16
So from speaking to one of my all time best friends last night she inspired me to look for cycle maps around Edinburgh. In doing so i found http://www.cycle-route.com very help full indeed. Managed leith to cramond.
Felt i did it real well and decided to declare myself fit for the first time in my life. For the past 11years of going to the gym and people telling me im fit and doing loads of practicle stuff all the i never really felt at a satisfactory level of fitness for what i felt i needed but today was the day where i felt on top of things.
After a really nice run and stretch after, im fit. Im unsure right now of what im fit for but fit for myself is great.
They say you just have to be fit for what you do in order to achieve, i feel ive always been fit enough for what i do but today i was fit enough for me.

Day 15
Had a strange sense of happiness with my wee running up the water of Cramond today.
Feeling stronger and fitter everyday just a little impatient with my weaknesses however in full faith
they will in time become strong with 16 days of January left looks like its gona be good.
Friday, 14 January 2011
Day 14
Well not much to say really to just. Just a short run up to city centre and back for Trapeze/silks practise again.
Was hard work with my little weak arms i have. I need more power then all will be fun again.
Tip of the day - Spirulina - great if you wake in the morning and still feel tired after great sleep. Suppose to give you that extra boost you need when you cant be bothered.

Day 13
So after my brick wall yesterday i took 10 steps back and jamp well over that wall higher than ive ever jamp before.
Did my normal run up the seaside but decided to see what was further and just kept running really, following signs for John Muirs Way. The signs also said 2 and half miles to the start and had butterflys on them so couldnt stop running and needed to enleash the machine inside needing to come out and play. So got to the start safely.
Um probably would have kept going a further but as it was already going to get dark soon and i was running threw all types of mud and threw quarrys and seeing sighs, "Warning live lagoon keep out " decided would be good to head back in which im glad i did cause actually just research Johns Muirs way and its like 45 miles long.
Another day for sure.
So my first long run 16 miles and felling pretty magic.
So yeah definatly recommend tricking yourself and felling the magic.
More tricks to follow

Day 12
I hit a brick wall with my friend Janathon today. I did take a speed walk up to the train station for work and also back again from the station after work. Got home had all intentions of going out again but ended up not.
However did do some reading and found a now trick so if your ever stuck like i was today with my brick wall you have to say to your self, " now if i just get changed and go out running even if for one minute and come back again its all good." when really what this will do is trick your brain to get you out of the house and everyone should know, once your out of the house your just so not gonna run for one minute. No.
And so i proved this to myself on day 13.
Yes i hit a brick wall but find out what happens to me when i hit a brick wall. Ha Ha

Day 11
Running around the city a few times today. Running up to Edinburghs Grass market for my first time hiring out a hall for trapeze/silks practise and also dance class this evening. All in all very productive and useful me thinks
Monday, 10 January 2011
Day 10
felt like a nice easy 7.7 miles today, along with a circuit of Urban Gym on the street with a few participants, was really great although i have to say never been out running in that amount of rain before. I was a proper drowned rat but so refreshing. Also considering i woke up this morning and my hip was real sore once i did some treatment on it i never felt it when i was running so im happy
Sunday, 9 January 2011
Day 9
Had a half converstaion with some one today, i said "im doing Janathon" he said "ow thats that cleaning thing " i said " no nothing to do with cleaning " Im thinking he thought i said im doing the Janator.
Any ways im thinking id did the longest run ive done all year today, bit ice all over so was a challenge to stay on my feet

Day 8
Staggered day of stopping and starting, brisk walk after work all the way home after a shot on the bungee dome where i managed for the first time to do a back flip in the air with my harness on that is. Then a run around the water of Leith which i havent done before so go happily lost 4 times, eventually ended up back in the city for run around there.
Friday, 7 January 2011
7th Day
Had a great running today again by the seaside. Had to run to the post office depo cause the postman took my special delivery there yesterday. He must have know i needed to run there. its still pretty cold here in Edinburgh. Just got a text on my phone "its snowing" looked out my window and its proper snowing so got back indoors at the right time. Need to think of a different direction for tomorrow
6th day
Had a busy day so not much time for running, managed to running to a shopping centre and buy some things for running thought which was very productive
Wednesday, 5 January 2011
5th day
about 5 miles today running up into the city for Urban Gym street circuit class only to find no one was joining me for the class. I reckon everyone a little unmotivated still after the new year so im going go and sort that out right now
4th day
finking i did not bad today, not bad as in not too good either. Ran 4.2 miles up the beach, started feeling real ill so had to walk back. How ever got home and had a great stretch, then back out again for a few more miles taking it easy with my all schoolfriend
Monday, 3 January 2011
Ok so maybe i can
Use this blogg thing that is. Ive been telling myself for the past 3 days that i cant do it and now ive maybe just worked out what its all about. Joining Janathon last minute didnt give me much time to get used to this new system but i have been running everyday which is the main thing. Decided Janathon was a great motivation tool for me as ive had a really busy past 6 months and now im not so busy but cant be bothered to do anything now apart from the things i like doing, so from joining Janathon and logging my running every day i can see how well im doing. More importantly i get to exercise everyday in which being a trainer myself, sometimes have to advise that rest is equally as important as working out so now im going to do what i enjoy most and brake all the rest rules and really work out in which this is in fact what i want to do. Since running around 20 miles in the past 3 days everyday my running improves althought getting out of bed is a challenge. Im looking forward to the rest of the month ahead full of new places to see as my 2shoes takes me on a voyage of new discoveries
